About

Anita Hinson Cauthen grew up in the small, Southern textile town of Lancaster, South Carolina.  Her youth, full of joy and celebrations and tears, centered on her extended family of eight and the family business, the Lancaster Bakery.  In the early 1980s, Anita moved to nearby Rock Hill, South Carolina, to marry, raise a family, and complete her college education.  She received a B.S. degree in Business and Information Technology from Winthrop University in Rock Hill in 1984.

For thirty years, Anita worked in Information Management and Project Management for an insurance company and an energy company in Charlotte, North Carolina.  She is a proud mother of her sons - Robert, William, and John - and her grandchildren - Brooke, Courtney, and Ethan.  Anita is enjoying retirement in Rock Hill with her loving companion, a Pekingese named Nash, and she continues to write stories about her coming of age in Lancaster.
